CheckedOK is CoreRFID's inspection and asset platform, strongest for UK LOLER and PUWER work where RFID tags, readers, and software come from one vendor. Core runs the same service-company workflow across LOLER, AS 2550, ASME B30, and DNV, with batch inspection and competency rules built in.
Same Job, Different Reach: Core vs CheckedOK
Both products were built for companies that inspect and certify lifting equipment for customers, and both give those customers a free portal. The differences are where you work, how many items you inspect per visit, and whether the tags come from your software vendor.
Which one is right for you?
A straight call. We'd rather you self-select the right fit than push the wrong tool.
Choose CheckedOK if…
- You want RFID or NFC tags, readers, and the inspection software from one supplier, with a tap-to-read product passport your customers can open without logging in.
- Your work sits inside LOLER and PUWER in the UK and Ireland, and you don't inspect to AS 2550, ASME B30, or DNV for customers elsewhere.
- You need the field app in languages other than English. CheckedOK lists more than 30.
- You want a standalone pre-use checks app for your customers' operators, licensed separately from engineer seats.
- UK office-hours phone support from a Liverpool team matters to you.
Choose Core if…
- You inspect and certify for customers in more than one regime: LOLER in the UK, AS 2550 and AS 4991 in Australia and New Zealand, ASME B30 and OSHA records in the US and Canada, DNV 2.7-1 offshore.
- A site visit means a rack of 200 slings or 40 harnesses, and you want one batch with shared details, defects opened one at a time, and one PDF pack for the whole job.
- You want technician competencies enforced when the job is scheduled, so an examination that needs a particular ticket can't be booked to someone without it.
- Your certificates must come out of your own DOCX templates, in your layout, with your branding.
- You want to run a real inspection in the browser before talking to anyone. CheckedOK offers a demo but no trial.
Three reasons inspection businesses switch to Core
Region coverage beyond LOLER
CheckedOK's site is built around LOLER and PUWER, and its LOLER page says the templates adapt to OSHA, Australian, and EN standards. Core's customers run AS 2550 major inspections, AS 4991 lifting device certification, ASME B30 frequent and periodic classes, and DNV-ST-E271 lifting set certificates in production, with inspection companies in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, the US, and Canada on the same platform. An inspection business with customers in two of those regions runs one system, one register, and one set of certificate templates.
Batch capture and competency rules
CheckedOK describes job scheduling, engineer timesheets, and an approval step before certificates are generated. As of October 2026 its site does not describe batch inspection or competency enforcement. Core's multi-inspect captures a whole rack as one batch, with shared details entered once and only the defects opened individually, and Core's scheduler holds each technician's competencies and blocks an assignment they can't sign off. For a company inspecting hundreds of items per visit, those two features are most of the admin saving.
Your templates, one pack per job, straight to billing
CheckedOK generates certificates automatically when a job is approved. Core renders them from your own DOCX templates, so the certificate your customers have received for years keeps its layout, combines the job's certificates and register into a single PDF pack, and rolls the results into a per-customer billing summary with a Xero integration. The office step after the inspection is where the two products diverge most. A company that moved to Core from CheckedOK in 2026 told us the certificate layout they could not change was their first reason for looking, and the wait for the field app to sync was the second.

Why Core, in five lines
The same five things matter no matter which competitor you're evaluating.
Built for the inspection service business
Quote → schedule → inspect → certify → bill is the workflow. Most competitors stop at 'inspection completed'.
Multi-region compliance in one platform
LOLER, ASNZ 2550, ASME B30, and LEEA Code of Practice ship together, with no separately purchased modules.
Unlimited customer logins
Every one of your customers gets a branded portal to view equipment and certificates, with no per-portal-seat charge.
Multi-inspect for batch capture
Inspect 200 chain slings as a single batch with shared metadata. Drill into defects only.
Restrictive competencies enforced
Only certified technicians can be scheduled to certain inspection types. The scheduler enforces it; nobody has to police it.
From operators who switched
“Core has modernised our business and given our customers the oversight of their legal requirements that they were looking for.”

Yes. CheckedOK produces Reports of Thorough Examination, schedules 6 and 12-month examinations with reminders, and says its certificates follow LEEA practice. Core does the same for LOLER. The differences are the regimes beyond LOLER, batch capture, competency enforcement, and whose certificate template the report comes out of.
